Another bad case with poor design and why I will not ever buy anything else with a Briggs and Stratton engine on it. Dealer claims engine over torques the aluminum oil pan causing pan bolts to get loose and work out.

2010 226 v and just now heard of this problem. So before it was found out oil ran out and thought we saved it. Bought the kit to fix bolt problem with new bolts with lock out on threads pan gasket etc. made one run with mower rod slapped.

Where's the recall?

Not one of course. Now what?

Anonymous Poster,

The your Briggs & Stratton engine is manufactured by B&S, not Grasshopper, but would you kindly send an email to contact@grasshoppermower.com with the Serial Number for your Model 226V, and we will look into the issue further.

Thank you!

Grasshopper Co.

This isn’t the automobile industry. All of the mower manufacturers are this way.

The Grasshopper rep is right.

Grasshopper didn’t make your engine. Your beef is with Kohler.
