If you are buying a Grasshopper mower from a dealer in eastern Pennsylvania beware the distributor in that area passes used equipment to the dealers as new units.Used mower decks are cleaned and painted and moved on as new.

Tractors that have been used or come out of a dealers demo pool are cleaned up, the hour meters replaced and represented as new units.

Sometimes the dealers are not aware this is taking place. If you are purchasing a new deck, tractor or accessory make sure it was shipped to the dealer in its original shipping box or crate and the serial number on the container matches the equipment inside.

I have a zero turn grasshopper mower model 220 and there is definitely one serious problem.Their bearings on the deck, idler pulleys and wheels are absolute garbage.

I had to replace them all. As far as the mower overall, its top shelf, tuff as nails. Here's your tip of the day. Instead of using their hydro oil, use Mobile one synthetic 50 w.

Better than any other oil for that purpose.Mike
